The Bullmobile has an interesting headlight setup. One bolt and two retaining pins and the whole unit comes out. One quick disconnect and the whole unit with both bulbs comes out and you are free to replace the bulbs. I replaced the burnt out headlight with an upgraded one and the blinker bulb with flaking orange with a new one.
The connector to the bulb had some retaining arms to keep the bulb from sliding out but the plastic was so brittle that it snapped off by looking at it closely. If it becomes and issue I promise to use zip ties to repair it.

Did you top-up the blinker fluid?

What kind of amateur do you think I am?

Oh how I envy the ease of your headlamp assembly removal. I took the STi headlights out once to see if I could figure out why the passenger side flickers. It probably needs a replacement ballast & ignitor but I can't bring myself to disassemble the front end again. Yes, the first step really is "disassemble the grille". NASIOC has a good write-up, which I used to steal the picture.

Eww gross! I thought Subbies were supposed to be "easy to work on" ?

No, they're not. It hasn't needed much work which is good. But changing the spark plugs is a 4 hour job. And it needed a secondary air valve replaced. It is on top of the block under the intercooler. To get one of the bolts off I had to go in from the wheel well. The flat engine makes them difficult to work on since it is buried between the wheel wells. But there is no excuse for making the headlamp assemblies so difficult to take out.

I haven't checked the Soul but my Wife's old Sonata and my PT both had headlights you could change be simply reaching into the engine bay.
